Government Engineering College (GEC), Vaishali is one of the new Government Engineering College established by the Government of Bihar under the Department of Science, Technology and Technical Education in 2018.

Nestled on the historic lands of Mahavir and Buddha, Government Engineering College, Vaishali stands as a beacon of engineering education with a profound social impact. Situated in proximity of Patna, GEC Vaishali, has gained a distinct image as an outstanding educational colossal among the technical institutions of Bihar as well as of India, due to its inclination towards innovative and skill-based education. Its consistent belief in ‘Achieving High’ is aptly reflected in its academics, extracurricular activities and placements.
From Humble Beginnings to Remarkable Growth:
Founded with a modest intake of 240 students across four undergraduate branches (B.Tech), within short span of time, our college has rapidly expanded under the visionary leadership of Principal, Prof. Anant Kumar. Today, we proudly offer seven undergraduate branches (B.Tech) with a total intake of 420 students and five postgraduate branches (M.Tech) with a total intake of 102 students.
Infrastructure Excellence:
Spread over 12.5 acre of lush green campus, GEC VAISHALI has excellent infrastructure with well-planned class rooms equipped with state-of-the-art teaching aids, laboratories with latest equipment and relevant licensed software, state-of-the-art computing facilities with over 300 computers networked through broadband for Internet access. fully automated central air-conditioned library with over thousands of books, national/international journals including e-journals and multimedia resources. The campus also includes faculty residences and one boys and one girls hostel accommodating over 500 students.
Nurturing Future Leaders and Innovators:
The college places special emphasis on collaboration with industries at various levels to groom the students to meet the industry standards. College has Industry Institute Cell, Startup Cell, Entrepreneur Cell. These include establishing collaborative facilities for student training in emerging Multidisciplinary technologies and undertaking industry sponsored consultancy projects.
To groom the student overall and make them placement ready, college has dedicated Placement cell, Language Laboratory and several clubs namely Technical Club, Sports Club, Art and Craft Club, Music club etc.
